1Ten Umpire Code of Conduct

  1. Be punctual and professional.  Early is one time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable.  Before you go on the field, make sure you look your best (uniform and shoes clean, hat on forwards.
  2. Hustle!  There is no better way to earn respect than to work hard on the field.  Show that you are out there to give each team your best and earn your pay.
  3. Treat coaches, players, and your partners with respect at all times.  Be approachable and open minded.   Never discuss your partner with either team's players or coaches.
  4. Get the call right.  Be firm in your decision making, but know when to go for help.  If you are 100% (1000%) sure, stick with it.
  5. Know the rules and proper mechanics.  You cannot get plays correct if you do not know how to enforce them or how to position yourself to call them.
  6. Enforce sportsmanship at all times.
  7. Arrive 30 minutes before game time and have a pre-game with your partner.
  8. In-Game: Work hard and do your best.
  9. Post-Game: Get off the field as soon as the game is over and you have collected the score cards.- Give the score cards to the site manager.
